MLC Foundation and ‘Shyam’ Institute is organising the XXIV Bhopal Seminar 2026: Population Dimensions of Sustainability from 22 through 24 January 2026. Presentations, discussions and deliberations at the XXIV Bhopal Seminar 2026 will be organised around the following sub-themes:

• Demographic Dimensions of Health and Well-being
• Urbanisation and Migration
• Poverty and Inequality
• Gender Dimensions of Sustainability
• Mortality Transition
• Other Issues of Population Dimensions of Sustainability

Participation

Original research papers are invited for presentation at the XXIV Bhopal Seminar 2026 on any of the sub-themes and on any other issue related to demography and development in India. Research papers to be presented at the XXIV Bhopal Seminar 2026 should be based on the empirical evidence derived from household surveys or registration system or service statistics and not on anecdotal or analogical experiences.
